the flies gallery
A few Springs ago I fell and cracked my kneecap and was off my feet for a few months. I had planned on learning the art of fly-fishing that summer so I thought maybe I’ll put the cart before the horse, learn how to tie flies.
It’s a great hobby, and there is no feeling like catching a fish with a fly you’ve tied yourself. I’ve tied hundreds since that spring and strive for perfection in hopes to attain consistency and develop a market for them at some point in the future. Most of the flies I tie are from original recipes of well-known fly designers. I always give credit where due by using the proper name of the pattern in question.
I will be updating this gallery every time I tie a new pattern so please come back and check often.
I welcome any feedback or discussions on my flies; I feel that criticism is a great tool to improve if it’s done kindly! 🙂 If there is a certain fly pattern you’d like to see on here let me know, I would be happy to tie one up. Thanks for viewing!
